Role Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all production-related activities in film projects and live events. This role ensures that creative concepts are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards while coordinating between creative, technical, and operational teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Coordination
- Plan and manage end-to-end production schedules for film projects and live events.
- Break down scripts, storyboards, and event briefs into practical production plans.
- Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production activities.
- Prepare detailed production timelines and daily call sheets.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Develop and manage production budgets.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost efficiency without compromising creative quality.
- Negotiate with vendors, freelancers, studios, and equipment suppliers.
- Approve production-related purchases and rentals.
3. Team Management & Communication
- Supervise production staff, crew members, and freelancers.
- Act as a bridge between directors, creative teams, technical crews, and clients.
- Assign tasks and ensure clear communication across all departments.
- Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth collaboration on set and at event sites.
4. Film Processing & Post-Production Oversight
- Coordinate film processing workflows including editing, sound design, color grading, and final delivery.
- Ensure post-production timelines are met.
- Review outputs to ensure quality control and creative alignment.
- Manage delivery formats and deadlines for clients and distributors.
5. Event Production Management
- Oversee logistics for live events including venue setup, staging, lighting, sound, and rehearsals.
- Coordinate event production crews and technical suppliers.
- Manage event timelines, rehearsals, and live execution.
- Ensure contingency plans are in place for technical or logistical issues.
6. Equipment & Resource Management
- Manage production equipment, studios, and technical resources.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and safety of all equipment.
- Coordinate transportation and setup of production gear.
7. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments for filming locations and event venues.
- Ensure insurance, permits, and legal requirements are in place.
8. Quality Control & Creative Support
- Maintain high production standards aligned with creative vision.
- Support directors, producers, and creative leads in achieving desired outcomes.
- Identify and solve production challenges creatively and efficiently.
9. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate with clients to understand production expectations.
- Provide regular production updates and reports.
- Ensure final outputs meet client requirements and deadlines.

- Supervises: Production Coordinators, Crew Members, Technical Teams
